Betty Lewis ’74, left, and Deborah Lehman-Irl ’74 had a mini-reunion at Deborah’s home in Hengersberg, Bavaria, Germany. Betty, who is an interpreter in Costa Rica, and Deborah, an English instructor at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences, were roommates their senior year. Deborah’s husband, Josef Irl, was the German House head resident 1973-74 and visits the campus when he travels to Colorado for the German-American Partnership Program he’s run for 20 years.

From left: Zafar Ali Khan ’80, Cynthia Kanyer Fallon (CC 1979-1981) and Thomas Fallon ’79 caught up on old times in Legian, Bali, in 2013. The Fallons own Piramide Clothing Co. in Manitou Springs, Colo., and Colorado Springs, and travel to Bali once a year to design and produce clothing with cottage industries there. Zafar lives in Kuala Lumpur and would like to hear from old CC friends, who knew him as Aye Pe Kin, his Burmese name. His email address: zaksburma@gmail.com.

A few couples who traveled to Cuba last spring as part of an alumni travel-study program gathered at the Aspen, Colo., home of Joan and Rodger Gurrentz ’78 P’15 in July. Margaret Snow Benoit ’77 and her husband, Richard Benoit ’75, attended the first CC Books in the Trees event in July 2014 and said they were part of the first group to attend Books on the Beach in California. The event hosts, Pete Nelson ’85 and Judy Merrill Nelson ’85, own Treehouse Point, a private event center and overnight retreat in Fall City, Wash.; Pete’s work is followed on Animal Planet’s “Treehouse Masters.”
