CC recently started the launch of a significant upgrade of its wireless network – and thought it befitting that a new network have a new name. The Information Technology Services (ITS) team held a contest, and the entries were logged. Among them:

Students voted on the name from the finalists, selecting the winner:
WiOfTheTiger
The new network, which doubles the number of wireless access points on campus, skips a generation of wireless technology, going straight to the cutting-edge 802.11ac standard.
