Photojournalist Eleanor Parker Nesbit ’14 is a summer intern at the Vail Daily News in Colorado’s Eagle County. The publishing company also produces a weekly paper and six lifestyle magazines, so Ellie is honing her skills by shooting a variety of subjects — covering pro athletes in the GoPro Mountain Games, photographing food for EAT magazine, or doing studio shoots for the 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships. She’s even handling some of her own reporting, which she’s enjoying. She will be in Vail through August and then hopes to find permanent work in photography or media in general. The GoPro Mountain Games were held in Vail, Colo., June 5-8, 2014. Athletes from around the world competed in nine sports and 25 disciplines, making it the United States’ largest celebration of adventure sports.
