ED Department Represented at New Year’s Eve Celebration
Gerri Anne Reed and Diane Comstock represented Colorado College’s Education Department’s WhizBang Science Children’s Summer Program on New Year’s Eve at the “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration at the City Auditorium in Downtown Colorado Springs. The turn-out was amazing. The children were so excited and Diane and Gerri Anne had as much fun as anyone helping children create their own science experiments. Check out the Ed. Sandie Gilliam Appointed Editor of the Colorado Math Teacher

Exploring the Waldo Canyon Fire Through Art
Anna Nelson, MAT candidate in K-12 Art taught her 8th graders at Eagleview Middle School how artists express emotion through color, expressive line
and form. They then went to the burn site a few minutes from the school
by bus to create expressive landscapes “en plein air.” Anna is working this whole year with Vanessa Scott, Art Teacher extraordinaire at Eagleview MS.
