The Academic Freedom Temporary Operational Group has been tasked with writing a report on academic freedom at Colorado College. This report will examine how CC’s academic freedom policies are translated into practice and provide recommendations to support faculty and academic-facing staff in advancing the College’s educational mission. To understand how academic freedom impacts certain groups on campus, we will be hosting several conversations over the next few months and hope to see many of you there. Your input will be valuable as we prepare our report.
The Academic Freedom Conversation Starter document is not complete nor comprehensive; it is a starting point for discussion. Our hope is that you will read this document and attend at least one of the upcoming sessions where you can share feedback, personal experiences, and unique scenarios that you experience related to academic freedom.
We thank you for the work you do to strengthen the College’s academic environment.
