My New Band Believe (2026) and proceedings

A mysterious melody fills my head as I stir, slowly being pulled from sleep. I wake up in a new strange place. Who is this strange bard and what is he telling me? I begin to follow closely behind, I don’t dare get separated from him. At the same time, I can’t trust him. There’s an anger in his voice. He’s singing to me, what is he planning? I don’t understand. Have I done something I can’t recall? Don’t cry, you deserve this. What is going on? Don’t cry, don’t cry

I can’t tell if I’m being watched or watched over. I’m alone and scared. Not scared because I’m alone, but because perhaps I’m not. Every rustle of the leaves, each small breeze that blows by, each creak of the floorboards. There’s something, someone else here. Don’t cry. Don’t scream. It’s just a bad dream… I have to get out of here, wherever here is, and it has to be soon.

There is no escape, is there? I have come too far to run… I want to scream for help, but would anyone hear me? My, my, my, what have you done? The land is so vast around me, I could walk for ages without the scenery changing much. It’s beautiful, but terrifying at the same time. I want to wake up from this dream, but I’m tossing and turning, nothing is comfortable, nothing is right.

I am found in the fields, and brought to his home, somewhere new. For the first time, I feel safe. Calm. A roof above me, warmth, and new feelings replacing the fear I felt before. I am being watched over. I can close my eyes peacefully now. Right? Now you’re a river in me, you’re in my bones, I want to swim to the sea, under the phosphorus light…

I awake indoors. Comforting. It doesn’t last long though. The cold creeps back in, followed by the darkness, and then the deal. Honest work for an honest reward. Is this something I can believe? I don’t know what I can believe anymore. Hours ago, I felt safe for the first time in days. Now? That’s all I’m asking for. One million years. I can’t just sit here, but what choice do I have. There is nowhere to go from here.

I don’t want to live out a lifetime here. I barely knew what it was before I woke up in this nightmare land. Blink and you’ll miss it. I have to do something, I can’t just take this. I have to get out of here. I need a plan. I sit and think about this all. Breath, breath, breath is the beginning… This place is a nightmare and I have to wake myself up from it. Of feeling, of living. I know what I have to do.

I’m just like you. Living in this nightmare—no—this dream. It’s unnerving, walking around, pretending this is all normal and I like it here. You’re holding in the fire, I’ve been putting out the flames. How do you appear to be comfortable when you’re crawling out of your skin? Pretending to be someone else. Fitting in to get the hell out of here..

You were not the man I took you for… I figured you out and woke up from this nightmare. You tried to lie, but I saw through it, and I got out. You’re borrowing my dreams, my life, you light… I was stronger, smarter, more clever.
