COVA, the Colorado Organization for Victims Assistance, is a statewide non-profit that has various programs in house, one of our programs is the Intern Program. We partner with agencies that offer internships to students who are interested in victim services. Students intern at a host agency (ex. Colorado Springs Police Department), which is where there day to day tasks take place. We offer extra support to students such as trainings, along with the opportunity for students to get paid for the hours they intern.
We are hoping to find a student to intern at the Colorado Springs Police Department and at the El Paso County Sherriff’s Office. We are seeking students who are interested in law enforcement victim advocacy. They do not have to be social science majors to apply to our internship, they simply must have an interest in victim services and be a current student for the duration of their internship. If you know of any students who may be interested, we would love for them to apply to our program.
