Politician bashing is a favorite American pastime: “Don’t vote—it only encourages them!” “If God wanted us to vote, He would have given us candidates!” “A politician is someone who answers every question with an open mouth!” But thank goodness Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Lincoln, the Roosevelts, Kennedy, Reagan and Obama were all masterful and professional politicians. Our American experiment in constitutional democracy depends on political discussion and on the hard work of bargaining and mediating agreements that make it possible for us to live together in a civilized way. CC Receives $8.5 Million for Innovation

Colorado College received an anonymous $8.5 million commitment that will provide support for the further development of its innovation program. 1930 The late Frank S. Hoag Jr. has been honored with a bronze statue installed at Pueblo Community College. Exciting Changes in Office of Alumni Relations

Michael McNamee has joined the Office of Alumni Relations as assistant director of career volunteer initiatives. Linking the Alumni Office to the Career Center, McNamee will be responsible for charting a new course for alumni and parent engagement as it relates to career success for current students. He’ll be working on mentoring, a job shadow program, internship leads, and other related endeavors.
