The Changemaker workshop series is a fast-paced, action-oriented series that prepares students to create impact through entrepreneurship. The series is designed to teach students how to put their ideas into action by learning the tools, and practicing the skills, that are needed to validate, scale, and perpetuate impact through business ventures.
The Spring series will comprise two workshops:
Block 6: Idea to Business: Tuesday, February 26 at 3:30pm
Innovation space
This workshop is designed to teach students how to validate your concept and take steps to develop your ideas into a business. We will cover: problem/solution fit; design sprints and prototyping; creating an organizational identity; and the Business Model Canvas (BMC). At the workshop’s conclusion, students will be able to write a BMC and to talk about their “why” and “how” that translates their core values into actions.
Block 7: Build a Pitch: Tuesday, April 2, at 3:30pm
Innovation space
We will cover the essential elements of a pitch, go over the necessary design elements needed to create compelling visuals, and discuss how to create content that is compelling to target audiences. Students will leave with a 10-second pitch and the tools to develop their own pitch decks.
Sign up now! Students are encouraged to attend both workshops, although it is not required. Questions can be sent to Alana at aaamodt@coloradocollege.edu.
