The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston has an immediate opening for a research assistant in our Research Department. The Research Department provides current economic analysis and policy advice to Federal Reserve decision makers and conducts innovative research with the aim of improving our understanding of the U.S. and global economies and encouraging better policy outcomes.
In this role, the research assistant will work with a senior economist and policy advisor in the Macro Financial section whose interest range from exploring the recent changes in productivity growth and its connection to changes in the economy, refining a consistent measure of bank output, analyzing the impact of financial contracts on business cycle, and understanding optimal banking regulation.
The Research Assistant position is for a fixed two-year term. After their time at the Boston Fed, (RAs) go on to attend prestigious graduate programs in economics, public policy, or other disciplines; take a job in business, finance, or law; or stay with the Bank in a variety of positions.
RAs are full-time employees of the Bank, are competitively compensated, and are eligible for a wide range of benefits, including health care and tuition reimbursement.
