Art Education Teaching & Learning Laboratory Half Block
What’s this class about?
Are you interested in learning more about how to develop an effective art program, grounded in best educational practices? This dynamic 9-day course will provide you with background in effective educational practice, how to organize learning environments, and the logistics behind marketing and registering students in a non-profit art school. In addition, you will learn how to plan art classes for elementary and middle school age students.
Housed in the Bemis School of Art at the Fine Arts Center, you will focus on developing courses in sculpting, drawing, painting, and mixed media. These courses will in turn be offered through the Bemis School of Art during blocks 5-8 to students from the Colorado Springs community, and you have an opportunity become co-teachers during one or all of these spring Bemis School of Art Classes.

All of Half Block: January 7-17, with class from 9am-noon.
