Undergraduate students at Colorado College are invited to apply to attend the World Pre-Health Conference (WPC) held on March 26-27, 2022.
The World Pre-Health Conference at Harvard University is an educational conference for pre-health students at universities across the world that takes place in March of each year. According to guidance from public health authorities and Harvard University, the 2022 World Pre-Health Conference will be held in a virtual format. The WPC Board has made this decision due to a number of factors, including prioritizing the safety and accessibility of our conference given the rapid spread of Omicron. Notably, given these circumstances, the application for the conference will be free.
Our WPC 2021 speakers included Program Director of the Autoimmune Center of Excellence at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Director of the Harvard immunology Ph.D. and Master in Medical Sciences programs Shiv Pillai, William J. and Charles H. Mayo Professor and Chair of Neurologic Surgery Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa, and Chief Policy Officer and Counsel for the Black Women’s Health Imperative Tammy Boyd. Last year’s conference was attended by more than 800 students from more than 150 schools across more than 30 countries and we would love for your students to apply to attend this year’s conference.
Our events for this year include a medical case study competition, where students can attempt to identify diseases based on symptoms, as well as a surgical skills workshop in which attendees will learn knot-tying methods using commonplace items. In addition, attendees are able to apply to be matched with a mentor in the medical field. When filling out the application, students can apply to the Student Mentoring Program (SMP) which will match them with physician mentors based on factors like shared interests.
