Summary Description: Serves as a member of the Curatorial team in the museum, with focus on the Southwest Collection. Supports exhibitions, events, collections work, and the artist in residence program. Participates in the work of planning, organizing, and presenting works of art in the museum and online; performs tasks involving academic engagement, education, collections, events, marketing, and administration; interfaces with the general public, students, CC departments and staff in the FAC and on campus. This is a paraprofessional position with a one-year appointment to the Museum, with the possibility of renewal for a second year.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; excellent writing and research skills; highly organized, flexible and comfortable with diverse audiences; outstanding interpersonal, computer, social media, and communication skills; excellent attention to detail and ability to
establish priorities and work independently; strong ability to effectively collaborate with a small professional staff, students, and faculty; a desire to pursue a professional career in the museum field.
Preferred Qualifications: Major work in Art/Art History, Museum Studies, or related discipline such as Indigenous Studies, Latin American Studies, Southwest Studies; experience in a museum environment, including object interpretation; experience with database systems;
experience with studio art; basic art handling experience.
