After graduation, Caitlin will begin work as a Spanish Literacy Promoter in the Dominican Republic for the Peace Corps.
“I’m excited to work for the Peace Corps because they work to create long-lasting change through close partnerships with local community leaders and local governments. I am hoping to explore the field of education as a future career, while simultaneously helping to promote education and literacy as a crucial tool for economic mobility and creating social change. I also hope to continue to develop my Spanish language skills.
My advice for CC students as they continue their job/internship searches is to really take advantage of the Career Center – I definitely didn’t use the Career Center as much as I should have prior to this year, but I found them to be so helpful and supportive throughout various applications and interview processes.
I also think it is important to be open to jobs/internships you might not normally go for, since those can sometimes be the jobs that allow us to have the most growth and self-development.”
Congratulations, Caitlin!
