This summer, Charlotte will head to Brooklyn to work as the legal intern at the Law Offices of Gary R. Weinberg.
“I’m really excited to begin my law career starting at the bottom. It’s a rare opportunity to work as a legal secretary, especially one that is paid, as an undergraduate student. I’m hoping that this summer will reinforce my desire to be a lawyer and increase my professionalism in a fast-paced business environment. My responsibilities will mostly be secretarial, but I’ll get to sit in on depositions and go to court with some of my co-workers, which will give me a fresh perspective on what it will be like to appear in court in the future.
My advice for those seeking opportunities: Use your connections! LinkedIn, family, family, friends, whoever. I would not have had this opportunity had my mom not gone to college with Mr. Weinberg. One “good word” is worth a lot!”
Congratulations, Charlotte!
