The deadline to apply for the 2022 “La Serena School for Data Science: Applied Tools for Data-driven Sciences” has been extended until Friday, April 22nd.
This year, the school will take place on August 1–12 at the AURA/NOIRLab facilities in La Serena, Chile. However, a final decision for an in-person or online school will be made by the end of April after assessing the COVID-19 situation.
The school is a great opportunity for students to learn statistical and computational tools for working in the “Big Data” paradigm.
The school is aimed at advanced undergraduate and early graduate students in Astronomy, Physics, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Biology and related fields. Students currently in US, Chilean, Ecuadorian (Cedia) and Latin American institutions are eligible for full or partial scholarships — which cover basically all costs including full travel expenses to/from La Serena.
