Company Description: Lyrics2learn is an on-line educational technology start up (www.lyrics2learn.com). We use music’s ability to stimulate the brain and commit information to memory as a tool to improve reading. Music is also a solid hook to keep students engaged and emotionally connected to text. Our lessons fuse rhythm, rhyme, reading and progressive questioning strategies into 15 minute reading centers. Kids become fluent readers, deep thinkers, and learn to connect with the world around them.

Our content is written, produced, and marketed in house and made available to thousands of teachers. schools, districts and parents all over the world through on-line subscriptions. We’re extremely effective, affordable, and a little edgy.

What we want: Elementary education majors who want to gain experience with adaptive learning, content development and innovative ways to help kids become strong readers and thinkers.

What we need: Your resume – Please include anything related to education, and any information you think parallels or is relevant to Lyrics2learn.
What you may be involved with: Content evaluation, adaptive learning frameworks, Prek-5th grade standard-aligned content development, and innovation brainstorming.

Hours needed: Colorado College offers paid internships while funds last. A minimum of 240 hours is needed over the summer months. We are flexible as far as when and where those hours are fulfilled.
