Design Thinking Workshop Series

Innovation and Creativity some of the most highly sought competencies for the 21st Century world of work. All organizations need employees who can contribute new ways of thinking and working to produce better results. By participating in the Design Thinking Workshop Series you will not only help the career center identify new ways to support CC students, you will gain a concrete example of your Innovation & Creativity to share with prospective employers.
The Career Center is seeking 6 students to participate in a multi-session Design Thinking Workshop. The design challenge that we are asking teams to collaboratively design solutions for is: How might we better understand the student population with regard to their career development needs and emotional drivers during the time of COVID-19 and especially beyond?
We value insights and creativity from any and all students, and would like to invite you to participate. We understand that your time is valuable, and by signing up for this workshop series, you would be committing to the following sessions:
- Thursday, Feb. 4th – 2-4pm Overview of Design Thinking Process, Review of Customer Journey, Review of Empathy Interviews, Next steps
- Teams conduct Empathy Interviews with students and synthesize findings
- Thursday, Feb. 11th– 2-5pm Review of customer experience, Identification of pain points, and Ideation of future journey
- Thursday, Feb 18th– 2-5 pm Prototyping and next steps
