Museum Education Assistant
In this position, you will support youth and family interpretive program offerings as part of CSPM’s (Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum) building of a lasting connection to the Pikes Peak region by preserving and sharing our cultural history..
Essential Job Functions – the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform
- Set-up, facilitate, and conduct introductions of the Hands on History school program
- Guide weekly Windows into History drop-in tours
- Organize, set-up, and facilitate youth and family programs, including Family Fun Days, Children’s History Hour, and Weekend Workshop
- Prepare, interview, and train for the teen Junior Docent program
- Maintain operations and communications of the Junior Docent program
- Organize supplies; maintain program spaces
