COWS is a national think-and-do tank that promotes high road solutions to social problems. These treat shared growth and opportunity, environmental sustainability, and resilient democratic institutions as necessary and achievable complements in human development. COWS is nonpartisan but values-based. We seek a world of equal opportunity and security for all.
The Mayors Innovation Project (MIP), one of COWS’ main projects, is a learning network for American mayors committed to high road policy and governance: shared prosperity, environmental sustainability, and efficient democratic government. We provide clear, useful information on policies and programs for local governments and create high-quality peer learning experiences for local leaders.
We are seeking an associate to focus on two areas of COWS’ work: The Mayors Innovation Project, and ongoing projects on workers and racial justice.
This position will report to the Associate Director of COWS and to the Co-Managing Directors of MIP on a day-to-day basis. It will be responsible for supporting several projects with data analysis, writing, and public policy research.
