Staff Changes in the Office of the Vice Provost

You’ll see some new faces, and familiar faces in new places, in the Office of the Vice Provost. 


Here is a recap of staffing changes, so you know who’s who and who’s where:

Office of Academic Programs
  • Sam Stansel has been hired as a coordinator for the Office of Academic Programs
  • Aaron Stoller has been promoted to assistant vice provost of first-year student success and director of the Office of Academic Programs
Office of Accessibility Resources
  • Kimberly Chevalier is now full-time with Accessibility Resources and has been promoted to accommodation support coordinator
Career Center
  • The Career Center now reports to the Office of the Vice Provost
Center for Global Education and Field Study
  • Belinda Barrientos has transferred from the Center for Global Education and Field Study to the Student Opportunities and Advising Hub
  • Shiyanke Goonetilleke has been hired by the Student Opportunities and Advising Hub as a student support specialist – global education emphasis; he continues to serve in a split position between our two offices. We anticipate he will take on a new role at the Hub by the end of the calendar year, at which time he will be fully engaged with the Hub alone
  • Global Education and Field Study is currently engaged in a search for a new off-campus programs coordinator
Colket Center for Academic Excellence
  • Traci Freeman, former director of the Colket Center, has accepted a position at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, as dean of the new Endicott Center for Teaching and Learning and associate professor of English 
  • Katrina (Kat) Bell, former director of the Ruth Barton Writing Center, has moved to San Diego, California
  • Chris Schacht has been promoted to interim director of the Writing Center
  • Karen Chui, professional tutor in the Writing Center, has been promoted to full-time status
Collaborative for Community Engagement 
  • Richard Bishop has moved to Summer Session as an administrative assistant
  • Tyra Voget joined CCE this summer as the civic leadership program coordinator
  • Sarah Elsey has been hired as the student engagement coordinator
Office of the Registrar
  • Christine Brett has been promoted to services and curriculum management coordinator
  • Ashley Nicholas has been promoted to applications and communications manager
  • Karen West,  academic records assistant, has been promoted to full-time status
  • Kira McCormack, former part-time academic records assistant, has left CC
State of the Rockies Project
  • Katrina (Kat) Miller-Stevens, associate professor of economics and business, is the new director of the State of the Rockies Project. We wish to thank Corina McKendry, associate professor of political science, and director of the Environmental Studies Program, for her service as the previous director of the State of the Rockies Project
Student Opportunities and Advising Hub
  • Shiyanke Goonetilleke has transferred to the Student Opportunities and Advising Hub as student support specialist – global education emphasis. He continues to serve in a split position between Global Education and the Hub
  • Nicola Brooke has transferred to the Hub as student support specialist, fellowship coordinator
  • Kieran Bennett has joined the Hub as student success specialist
  • Belinda Barrientos has transferred to the Hub as administrative assistant. She continues her role as the Bridge Scholar Program coordinator
  • Jennifer O’Bryant, former student success specialist, will be leaving CC 
Summer Session
  • AliciaRose Martinez is the new summer programs and college access specialist
  • Richard Bishop is now the Summer Session administrative assistant
  • Addison Knight has completed her tenure as Summer Session paraprofessional
Office of Sustainability
  • Mae Rohrbach has been promoted to sustainability coordinator
