Colorado Public Radio News Fellow

The Colorado Public Radio News Fellowship will develop a new generation of talented, diverse journalists for the public radio system. The CPR News Fellow will be trained in every aspect of public radio journalism – developing story ideas, reporting, writing, producing and editing, for both radio, and the website and social media. The fellow will spend time in different areas of the newsroom – newscast/daily reporting, Colorado Matters, beat reporting and digital/social media. The News Fellow will learn to define, pitch and produce a public radio story; record in a variety of settings; do basic photography, prepare thorough and balanced reports; identify guests for interview topics; provide thorough news research; meet news deadlines; prepare material for our digital and social media platforms; and do some on-air reporting. Full-time position in Centennial, CO.
