Fine Arts Center Internship: Summer and Academic Year

Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Museum Internships 

The CSFAC Museum internships offer students rich opportunities to connect their classroom learning to practical experiences, and to build professional skills and connections while interacting with a wide public audience.

The Mellon Summer Internship is a paid, part-time, 10 week internship funded through the Mellon Foundation to focus on specific projects on the cultures, art, and objects of the American Southwest. Applicants with prior experience in the CSFAC/CC intern program will be given priority. Application Deadline has been extended to April 17, 2017 

The Mellon Academic Year Internship require a commitment of 8-10 hours a week for the full 9 month academic year. Work schedules can be flexible. Interns will focus on specific projects on the cultures, art, and objects of the American Southwest to build broad expertise and develop experiences fully. Applicants with prior experience in the CSFAC/CC intern program will have priority. Advanced interns will also be engaged with the mentoring of new interns. Mellon Academic Year interns will receive a stipend. Four internships are offered each academic year. Application Deadline: May 1, 2017 (second Monday of Block 8)

Volunteer Internships are unpaid opportunities to gain foundational training in many aspects of museum operations, including multiple departments within the museum. Volunteer internships require a minimum commitment of one semester (four blocks) with at least 6 hours per week expected. The Volunteer Internship program is geared toward new interns interested in learning generally about museum work. To express interest in the fall 2017 internship, apply by: May 1, 2017 (second Monday of Block 8)
