Immigration Legal Internship

The Family Immigration Services office of Catholic Charities of Central Colorado is seeking an intern to support our attorney and our accredited immigration counselors who represent low-income families in immigration matters. We are looking for someone who can dedicate a minimum of 8 hours per week to the position, and more hours would be preferred.

The intern will support the Director in the legal representation of clients who may be applying for a wide variety of immigration benefits or who may be defending against removal proceedings. Some of our cases include affirmative applications for asylum, temporary protected status, special immigrant juvenile status, DACA, family petitions, permanent residency, citizenship, and visas for crime victims (such as U Visas, T Visas, and protection under the Violence Against Women Act). We also defend clients in removal proceedings and on appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals.
