Pi Day!

Posted by on March 17, 2014

Who knows what holiday is celebrated on March 14?  I have a hint for you…try writing the date differently.  3/14…closer…3-14…closer…3.14…Bingo!  March 14’s alter ego is Pi Day!    Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.  It has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point and will continue on indefinitely without repetition or pattern.  How many of those trillion digits do you know (I know eight!)?  3.14159265…

Hmm…all this talk of Pi makes me hungry and that’s why ITS: celebrated Pi Day with food…pie bites to be specific!  And since it was not only Pi Day, but also payday, Friday, and the first Friday of spring break, the day was even more worth celebrating!

What special day is coming up next?  I don’t know, but you know ITS: will celebrate it in style.  Interested in more about Pi?  Check out www.piday.org for more fun facts and shopping for your favorite Pi items!

ITS:Always fun, never boring
