Our Campus

Bryan Oller joined CC as staff photographer in December 2013. Previously, he worked as a staff photographer at The (Colorado Springs) Gazette and as a freelance photojournalist. His images of Colorado’s devastating wildfires and floods in Colorado have appeared in publications such as The New York Times and Time magazine. Oller has won numerous Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters awards as well as Colorado Press Association awards.

Student Perspective

Nina Riggio ’17 got interested in photography when her father bought her an old Pentax film camera when she was 15. She took IB art in high school and studied various photographers; she fell in love with the work of Francesca Woodman, who grew up in Colorado. Riggio is a member of CC’s photography club and wants to be a National Geographic photographer after graduation.

Introducing Summer Institutes

This summer, Colorado College is offering three new, linked thematic blocks, courses that will integrate students’ academic, practical, and professional experiences. These courses — aimed at helping students gain experience, earn credentials, and build a resume — are in addition to the numerous summer offerings of the past. The new blocks are: The Colorado Documentary Institute (June 2-July 24): This program provides students with a rigorous and creative filmmaking education bridged by a real-world professional experience.
