About Jo

Jo Lingenfelter graduated from CC in 2015 with a degree in Italian…and without a firm plan of where to go next. Fast-forward to 2016, when Jo applied her skills in learning a language to an entirely new kind of communication: coding. By teaching herself to code as if she was learning a new language, Jo landed a job as an iOS Developer for Mobelux, an award-winning mobile and web software application development company. She now writes native code to develop mobile apps and web platforms for iOS and Android.

Join Jo for a small group conversation and an Xcode workshop, where you will learn to code a simple program in Swift. Jo will also share insights into the software and technology industries, and how the Block Plan prepared her for success after CC.

About 5 Under 25

5 Under 25 is a Career Center series that features alumni under the age of 25 in diverse and exciting fields. Each 5 Under 25 program begins with a group lunch at 12:15 in the Career Center.

After a small group lunch, students can sign up for a 20-minute one-on-one conversation with the speaker to ask in-depth questions about their industry, the recruiting process for their organization, and more.
