The City of Colorado Springs is conducting a two (2)-year long Comprehensive Plan Update (PlanCOS) to guide the physical development of the City for years-to-come. PlanCOS is expected to have significant community input, stakeholder engagement, publications, and additional information as needed for public-process transparency. This requires an intern to be flexible and adaptable to performing at multiple levels of public engagement, community involvement, and PlanCOS development. The intern will function as support staff as well as take on leadership roles with community meetings and other forms of public participation. This requires that the intern be able to perform in a public setting, work with a team that has tight deadlines and high expectations, coordinate with PlanCOS consultants, and contribute to technical work for project deliverables.
