The student-run non-profit Coding it Forward is accepting applications to the Civic Digital Fellowship. Impact-driven software engineers, data scientists, website designers, product managers, and data journalists are encouraged to apply to opportunities to modernize tech at federal government agencies—including the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and U.S. Department of State.
Fellows will spend 10 weeks taking a large-scale, high-impact product from start to finish; last summer, three fellows built census.gov/smallbusiness. Fellows will also work closely with professional mentors and visit top civic organizations and technology companies. The program provides a competitive stipend, housing, and a round trip flight to and from Washington, D.C. You can find more information here.
Applications are due no later than January 9th, 2018. Please note that applications are rolling, so interested students are encouraged to apply ASAP as the program anticipates a competitive selection rate. Questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
