After graduating, Maddie is headed to the University of Austin to earn her Ph.D. in Astronomy.
I am excited about the research I will be doing with Prof. Keith Hawkins, studying hypervelocity stars and stellar evolution.
My advice for students thinking about grad school: I think that a lot of students don’t know that Ph.D programs are generally paid positions. Getting a Ph.D does not cost you any money; instead, you get paid to learn.
Congratulations, Maddie!
