Grace is volunteering this summer at UCHealth-Memorial Hospital as a Learning Link Volunteer right here in Colorado Springs. 

I am really excited about this position because it will allow me to be a part of that one-on-one patient experience that I don’t get to be involved in as much by simply shadowing. I am hoping to continue on to PA school once I graduate, and this healthcare experience will contribute significantly to that goal as well.

Go to the career center, get your cover letter, resume, etc looked over. You don’t realize how important it is until you’re going up against 50-100 people, for 2-3 spots. Also, start planning now! Don’t wait until the last minute to plan your summer. Utilize that long stretch of time, and get some valuable experience, regardless of your field of interest.”
