The Colorado College Student Government Association in conjunction with the Career Center and the Office of Alumni and Family Relations is proud to announce a local job shadow day experience during Second Block Break. Local alumni have graciously volunteered to host students at their organizations for up to one day (Oct. 18 or 19th). The goals of the experience are to provide a meaningful block break experience, connect students with the broader community, and provide successful alumni role models.
Sites include:
- United States Olympic Committee (either Oct. 18th or 19th)
- U.S. Senator Michael Bennet’s regional office (date to be determined by host and student)
- Cottonwood Arts Center (Oct. 19th only)
- Food Maven: Government Relations (date to be determined by host and student)
The day will be spent touring the facilities, meeting with key staff members, witnessing/engaging in organizational functions, and learning from alumni hosts.
Up to two students can be placed at a site per day. Start and ends times vary and will be determined by the host and student(s). All sites are located in downtown Colorado Springs and are accessible via walking, bicycle, or bus line (free to CC students with Gold Card). Students will be required to attend a brief orientation workshop by the Career Center.
