After the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, many corporations issued statements of solidarity, posted diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) roles, and donated resources. While it was exciting to witness the momentum, how do you know when efforts are genuine and sustainable or when they are just for show? It’s complicated, but in this session, you will explore how to assess a company’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, navigate the corporate landscape, and influence the cause for equity and social justice.
