You are invited to participate in a one-on-one mentoring conversation with Mr. Edward De La Rosa. Spots are limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Mr. De La Rosa will be joining us on Weds. May 3rd and 20 minute time slots are available between 3:30pm-5:00pm. RSVP to Stacey Stevens and indicate your preferred time slot (330pm, 4pm, 430pm).

Edward J. De La Rosa is Founder and past President of De La Rosa & Co., the investment bank he sold in 2014 to Stifel (NYSE: SF). During the 25 years prior to De La Rosa’s acquisition, the firm’s sales & trading officers and investment bankers made a market in California fixed income securities and provided capital for public and private infrastructure projects across California.

Mr. De La Rosa has previously served as a Board Member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB). As Board Member, he set professional standards for investment bankers and bond brokers across the United States who finance public and private projects.

Mr. De La Rosa has been appointed twice by the California Senate to serve on State Commissions. One appointment was as a Board Member on Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Commission on the 21st Century Economy. That Commission sought to modernize California’s tax structure to improve business conditions and create more efficient delivery of public services. The other was as a Board Member of California Secure Choice.  Secure Choice is a retirement plan and fund administered by the State Treasurer for the more than 6 million California private sector employees who are not covered by employer-sponsored retirement programs.

In 2009, Mr. De La Rosa established his firm’s scholarship program, named The Fabric of Society. Each spring, De La Rosa awards 50 scholarships to public high school who submit winning essays on a topic related to the fabric of their society. Since inception, Mr. De La Rosa has awarded 233 Fabric scholarships to public high school seniors across the United States.

Mr. De La Rosa holds a Master’s degree from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego. He has been awarded the Dean’s Alumni Achievement Award from the Yale School of Management. Mr. De La Rosa currently serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Yale’s School of Management.

Mr. De La Rosa has been helping current Colorado College students as a frequent visitor to campus.
